I have not been to the MAC (activity center) in quite a while, so it was long overdue for us to go there to play. I went with Laura and Lucas (Luke's age) so we could have some talk time while the kids enjoyed their running around. For an hour and half, they played, jumped, bounced, built and other forms of energy-depleting activities that entertain 3 and 4 year olds. It is nice to be in a contained area, where there is only one exit and we happened to be blocking it.
Afterwards we had a 'car picnic', in which we drove through Chik*Fil*A and got the kids their chicken nuggets and fruit. That way by the time we got home, their bellies were full and their eyes were heavy. Natalie and Luke laid down for a 2.5 hour nap and I actually got to sneak in an hour n
ap that felt like a 5 hour coma.
Good playdate? Great conversation, no injuries and a long nap for the kiddos!
