Some friends of ours threw a 'Back to School Bash' pool party down at our neighborhood pool tonight. Just a small gathering of friends, right? Well, the host(s) said that if everyone showed up that had RSVP ed there would be over 100 people there. Wow! We, fortunately, go there early and left early. Our children were not exhibiting their best behavior, in fact, they were all 3 having some horrendous behavior. Sometimes, they have this inner sense when we may not be paying close attention and they complete exploit it. One will distract, while another swoops in and swipes a handful of Cheetos. Then one will claim to have to go to the bathroom, while another is plunging their hand into the Skittle bowl to really through them into a serious sugar rush. After a few of these shenanigans, we decided to remove them from public eye so as not to embarrass ourselves further. Maybe some day in the future we will be able to take these children out of the house without fear of public humiliation...
