John's Siblings

John is one of 7 children, and he is the youngest. Since they live in many different states, it is rare for all of them to get together. However, for John's birthday, they all flew in for the big party. One from Maryland, two from Kansas, one from new Mexico, one from Indiana and one drove over from Duncanville. It was great to have them all together again, because the last time that we all got together was in May of 2005, when I was pregnant with Luke. The logistics are kind of challenging with 7 adults, their spouses and 17 children.

As a side note, it is pretty funny to be with all of them, because it is blatantly obvious that I am the spouse of John. All the boy siblings are 6'5" and most of the girls are 5'11" - 5'12", as they like to say. One is 5'8", and I find it humorous that they call her the 'little one'. If I happen to be walking with this group, it makes you want to sing, "One of the kids is doin' her own thing, which one could it be?" At 5'1", I do not necessarily blend in so good...
