My Realizations

*John CAN load the dishwasher with twice as many dishes than I can.
*My phone is smarter than I am. It knows way more phone numbers than I do.
*A calendar is only good if it is consulted before planning things.
*Lists are a good thing.
*Silence is golden.
*There is no such thing as a 'magic' pill. (If there was, Oprah would be skinny.)
*Despite what instructors/professors/trainers may say, there really ARE stupid questions.
*You can accomplish more by slowing down.
*There is no such thing as spot reduction.
*Sometimes you just need to listen a little longer before you interject your own opinion.
*Sometimes you do NOT need to interject your own opinion at all.
*You can never know the depth of someone else’s sorrow or grief.
*It is OK to be friends with someone, even if you do not agree with their opinions.
*God is involved in every aspect of our lives; we just have to open our eyes to see Him in action.
*Sometimes saying nothing is more powerful than any words ever could be.
*Sometimes it is OK to be wrong.
*And even if you are right, you do not have to point it out.
*Every decision has a consequence, good or bad.
*It is easier to forgive than to forget.
*Some things cannot be forgotten.
*Every story may have 2 sides, but the truth is somewhere in between.
*I never knew the full meaning of embarrassment until I had kids.
*The truth is not always pleasant.
*Sometimes you have to go through some pain to get to the good part.
*You can not take back words that are said in anger.
*Sometimes saying sorry is harder than eating glass.
*You never know everything about a person or their life story.
*Having 1 or 2 close friends is much better than having 100 casual friends.
*You cannot please everyone, so it is best to quit trying.
*We all need downtime. (Some more than others.)
*Naps are a good thing.
*Naps are a necessity for children, but also some adults. (like me)
*First impressions really are important.
*What you are wearing can affect your mood.
*Actions do speak louder than words.
